1. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in programs offered by RoboKids Academy or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, you may not use our services.

These terms apply to all users of our services, including students, parents, guardians, and website visitors.

2. Description of Service

RoboKids Academy provides educational robotics programs for children aged 6-16, including:

  • Regular weekly classes and workshops
  • Summer camps and holiday programs
  • Birthday parties and special events
  • Competition team training
  • School partnership programs
  • Online resources and educational content

3. Enrollment and Registration

Age Requirements

Our programs are designed for children aged 6-16. Students outside this age range may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Registration Process

  • Complete enrollment forms must be submitted before the first class
  • Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment
  • Class placement is determined by age, experience level, and availability
  • We reserve the right to move students to appropriate level classes

Required Documentation

  • Completed registration form
  • Emergency contact information
  • Medical information and allergies (if applicable)
  • Photo/video permission forms

4. Payment Terms

Fees and Payment

  • Full program fees are due at time of registration unless payment plan is arranged
  • Payment can be made by credit card, debit card, or bank transfer
  • Late payment fees may apply after 7 days from due date
  • Returned payment fees may apply for insufficient funds

Payment Plans

Payment plans may be available for multi-session programs. Contact our office to arrange alternative payment schedules.

Price Changes

Program prices may change between sessions. Enrolled students will be notified of any price changes at least 30 days in advance.

5. Attendance and Make-Up Classes

Attendance Policy

  • Regular attendance is important for student progress
  • Please notify us of absences in advance when possible
  • Persistent absences may result in program dismissal

Make-Up Classes

  • Make-up classes are offered for excused absences when space permits
  • Make-up requests must be made within one week of absence
  • Make-up classes expire at the end of the current session
  • No make-up classes for unexcused absences

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Student-Initiated Cancellations

  • Full refund if cancelled more than 7 days before program start
  • Partial refunds may be available for medical or family emergencies
  • Administrative fees may apply to cancellations

RoboKids Academy-Initiated Cancellations

  • Full refunds provided if we cancel a program
  • Alternative program placements offered when available
  • We are not responsible for travel or other expenses

7. Code of Conduct

Student Expectations

  • Treat instructors, staff, and other students with respect
  • Follow safety rules and instructions
  • Use equipment and materials appropriately
  • Participate actively and positively in activities
  • Help maintain a clean and organized learning environment

Disciplinary Actions

Students who violate our code of conduct may face:

  • Verbal warnings and coaching
  • Temporary removal from activities
  • Parent/guardian conferences
  • Suspension or dismissal from programs (with limited refund)

8. Safety and Liability

Safety Measures

  • All activities are supervised by trained instructors
  • Safety equipment is provided when necessary
  • Emergency procedures are in place and practiced
  • First aid certified staff are present during all programs

Liability Waiver

By enrolling in our programs, parents/guardians acknowledge that:

  • Robotics activities involve inherent risks
  • Students participate at their own risk
  • RoboKids Academy is not liable for injuries during normal program activities
  • Appropriate supervision and safety measures are provided

Insurance

RoboKids Academy maintains liability insurance. However, participants are encouraged to maintain their own health and accident insurance.

9. Intellectual Property

Student Work

  • Students retain ownership of their individual projects and creations
  • RoboKids Academy may photograph/video student work for educational purposes
  • Student work may be displayed with permission

Curriculum and Materials

  • All curriculum, lesson plans, and educational materials are proprietary to RoboKids Academy
  • Materials may not be reproduced or distributed without permission
  • Students may keep projects they create during programs

10. Photo and Video Policy

RoboKids Academy may take photographs and videos during programs for:

  • Educational documentation and assessment
  • Marketing and promotional materials
  • Social media and website content
  • Internal training and improvement purposes

Parents/guardians must provide written consent for photography and videography. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting our office.

11. Communication and Updates

  • Important program information will be sent via email
  • Keep contact information current for important updates
  • Check email regularly during program periods
  • Emergency communications may be sent via phone or text

12. Modifications to Terms

RoboKids Academy reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be:

  • Posted on our website
  • Emailed to current families
  • Effective immediately for new enrollments
  • Effective at the start of the next session for current students
